N-Dubz
Branding, CD single, poster and flyer for MOBO award winning group. It was important for profile and consistency to give N-dubz an easily recognisable id, that showed the group and their character. The design retained their gritty style without being intimidating.

We used graphic elements from 60s reggae, which has strong and bold graphic elements with a handpainted feel, to give energy and impact to the layout with indie colours. The big photo looks edgy to underline the “Oi Rude Boy” title. The smaller photo (on the name) is to add another dimension to the artists visual persona.

Take That
Box and inserts for album press launch. Understated glamorous look was achieved using a black box with a pearl finish. The design was consistent with the brand of Take That.

Sinclair - Live at Terminal Live EP, designed to be consistent with the Devil Inside single release. The word 'Live' was designed to indicate the rough, ready and raw live performances and vocals that Sinclair is becoming acclaimed for.

Brand identity CD and promotional material. Sinclair is a cross between folk and rock, so we used colour and imagery to give the folk look of the thoughtful outsider combined with the urban edgy rock look.

The text was integrated into the photography to give the impression that the devil is inside the warehouse.

Twickenham Carnival
Print campaign. The crowd this event attracts is mixed with a lot of families. Twickenham is a leafy, well-off borough and the artwork also had to reflect this as well as being bright and fun. The theme was ‘friends of the world’ so we used different bright colours to represent different nationalities/identities in a fun way, and although different, together they unite to make up a single design, the shape of which was inspired by a flag billowing in the wind. The pastel green colour in the background gives the artwork a leafy and more refined edge.

Brahma
Brahma beer promotion where they sold a print by the artist Banksy for 1 pence. The promotion got over 50 national press articles, as well as a feature on GMTV and ITN.
The pictures used were a print version of the web graphic or photos of the matching venue window graphics.

Brahma beer promotion where they sold a print by the artist Banksy for 1 pence. The promotion got over 50 national press articles, as well as a feature on GMTV and ITN.

The illustration showed the Brahama target market - the ‘in-crowd’, made up of a mix of young professionals socialising.

British Airways

Print:

British Airways and Mind
A tender document - brochure outlining the work Mind and British Airways can achieve together. Airport and airline metaphors relevant to the text were used in order to illustrate the content.

The cover has the image of a seat belt as if it is wrapped around the document. Not only is it a striking visual that looks like a handshake but it also communicates the values of safety and care, which is what Mind offer BA.

 
DawBell print

DawBell
After creating the brand identity came the implementation for print and promotional goods: business cards, letterhead, comp slips, napkins, umbrellas, polo shirt. The brand element button was used on the reverse of the business cards with a spot uv gloss to make it pop.

The one colour version of the logo was created specifically for applications such as promotional items. In this case it was applied as a silver foil block to napkins.

Magaazine

You Me Baby Magazine
You Me Baby is a title stocked in supermarkets (such as Sainsbury’s and Tesco) nationwide. We were asked to re-design the title and refine their workflow.

Other mother/baby magazines tend to look dated, so the idea was to design a title that would be more attractive to the target market, taking into account the typical audience background, expectations and consumption of other products.
